For this week’s session, Imma share with you my a few of my favorite songs from the not so long ago years, lol.

Mr. Brightside, The Killers. I’m not really a huge fan of all of their songs, but I’m sure everybody knows this. Not only is the tune extremely catchy, but the lyrics! LOL!

Bleeding Love, Leona Lewis. There was a time when this song was literally on loop for about a week! That’s how much I loved it!

How to Save a Life, The Fray. This brings so much Grey’s Anatomy memories, huhuhu! Which reminds me, I have a lot of catching up to do to catch up to the latest season.

Unwritten, Natasha Bedingfield. This song I first discovered when it was used in a Pantene shampoo commercial. During those times, hair rebonding was so common that almost me and my college girlfriends had long, rebonded hair, and we used to call ourselves the Pantene Girls, haha. See, this song brings so much early “just got out of college, now we working” memories!

Payphone, Maroon 5. I know, it’s like just a few years ago, but this is seriously my favorite Maroon 5 song, more than Sunday Morning. 🙂

Cry Me a River, Justin Timberlake. Because it was still that time when MTV was MTV and when JT and Britney broke up and there’s a girl in the video that looks like Britney. JT-Britney forever!

Early throwback!

<3, Melai

Our internet has been conking in and out due to the bad weather – it’s been one week of nonstop rains and one week na din of no internet (Hello, PLDT?). So, today, when I woke up, I was wanting to complete my post about my HK trip last 2014, but again, due to internet challenges, I was thinking of just sleeping it out today (it’s the perfect weather to do nothing). While checking my emails, I received a notification from soundcloud about a song uploaded by my brother’s friend. So, I know that I have a soundcloud account, but I don’t remember the last time I have opened it, more so remember the people I follow. But, the email said that Rizza has uploaded a new song so I listened to it. And, because it’s such a gloomy and boring Monday, I am going to share it to all of you, because it’s really good (just like her other covers)!

Listen and make your Monday a little less gloomy. ;D

It’s been a while since I had a post solely for songs. Thank you to Spotify’s discover weekly, I get to hear new songs that most of the times are not being played on the radio yet. Although, upon further examination, some songs aren’t really new. Maybe they just have a different audience that I only got to hear about them late. There are times when I actually am selfish/weird in the sense that I hope the song doesn’t get famous so I will be one of the few people who know and love the song. Labo ‘no? Haha.

Right now, here are a few songs currently on my playlist:

Shots by Imagine Dragons. I don’t know why I just found out about this song last week, and why Spotify put it in it’s Discover Weekly playlist, when the song came out a year ago. Oh well, still gonna thank the music gods for introducing me to this song.

10th Song by OYLS. I don’t know why but this has a very dreamy vibe to it. It somehow feels like those indie songs that gets used on wedding videos, yes? Need to remind myself to research more about the group and look for more of their songs.

Drunk in the Morning by Lukas Graham. This is one of those songs that I was saying that you wish less people know about, lol. Because it’s a fun song and I’m selfish and weird like that!

T-Shirt Weather by Circa Waves. This sounds like something you would play while on a road trip. And that’s the reason why I have it on my list.

Song for Someone by U2. Because I don’t think there’s anyone who doesn’t like the band. And I don’t see any reason why anyone would not like them.

Capsize by Frenship. Sounds very calming, like something you’d want to listen to after a stressful day at work.

Send my Love by Adele. I love Adele!! And I hope I get to watch her live someday!

Can’t Sleep Love by Pentatonix. My brother introduced me to this group. He really loves them that he even watched their concert last year.

There’s definitely a lot more, but I guess I’ll just save that for next time, or for myself, haha.

Kelly Clarkson covers

Wasting time on Buzzfeed, one of my most visited websites every time I’m online, saw this article about Kelly Clarkson doing song covers during her concerts. Based on one of the videos, they ask the audience what song they’d want her to cover and she sings it for them. Taray. Dahil jan I like her na. Buzzfeed listed 22 songs, here are my favorites:

Someone Like You, Adele

We Found Love, Rihanna

Wonderwall, Oasis

Iris, Goo Goo Dolls

Creep, Radiohead

Somebody That You Used to Know, Gotye

Lose Yourself, Eminem

I lover her na!

Here’s the complete list from Buzzfeed.
